The challenge of evaluating The New York Times’ website holistically is that it is fashioned from so many different pieces. Some parts of the site are brilliant in-page I formational graphics, some are web applications, others are multimedia templates used to showcase the sites deep and talented reporting staff. The site-wide navigation and search are not always up to the job of directing users to the depth mand breadth of content present. More than any other website the challenge of the Times’ information architecture.
I believe the NYTime should be in the running, but i’ll only vote for it as a single thing, not for each section individually.
